Eve Marie Torres was born in the year 1984 and on the 5th of May. She happens to be an American dancer and a model. Apart from following the aforementioned careers, Eva is also an actress and a professional wrestler and she is currently working for WWE on their popular brand, SmackDown. This WWE Diva works as the backstage interviewer as well as the occasional wrestler.

Eva Torres shot to fame and stardom after she won the annual Diva Search that took place in the year 2007. Torres had entered the Diva Search competition that took place during 2007’s summer and she was promptly chosen to be among one of the eight finalists who competed against each other in a bid to win the total prize money of $250,000.

The prize also included a yearlong contract with the World Wrestling Entertainment Company. On the 29th of October in the year 2007 she was crowned as that year’s WWE Diva Search winner in front of thousands in attendance and in front millions watching it at home. She succeeded in defeating the WWE Diva Search finalist Brooke Gilbertsen and thus officially became a WWE Diva. The 20th of December of 2007 saw her acquire her WWE wrestling license. She received it in the US state of Kentucky and later started training in the OHW or the Ohio Valley Wrestling by the 4th of January in 2008.

Many promos of Eve Torres coming to the SmackDown from RAW began circulating on the 11th of January 2008 and this promo was aired for around three weeks right before Eve made her official debut on the first of February 2008 in an edition of SmackDown where she interviewed the ex- World Heavyweight Champion Batista. During the spring time, she was seen participating in a “Diva Competition” contest in order to determine who the top diva on SmackDown was.

This contest was won by WWE Diva Michelle McCool and later Torres made an appearance at the WrestleMania XXIV in the form of Lumberjill in a Bunny Mania match that was held between Maria and Ashley and the team of Beth Phoenix and Melina. Eve later started to participate in several contests like the Halloween Costume Contest held on the 26th of October in the year 2008 at a WWE event called the Cyber Sunday. She was dressed as Raphael from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters.
